Entries MUST be received by that date to be considered.
All members of the PBGVCA are invited to submit photos in the annual photo contest. The winner and/or winners will be published on the cover of Saber Tails. Prizes will be awarded to the top four and and online ribbon to Awards of Merits.
This year there are 3 ways to enter the photo contest (click here for details). Regardless of entry choice photos must be submitted either via e-mail or US mail.

PHOTO SUBMITTAL VIA E-MAIL
- Entries must be 300-dpi. E-mail all entries to bevchilds@bellsouth.net before March 31, 2012.
- TO SEND PHOTO VIA E-MAIL: One photo per email. Put "Photo Contest" in the title of your e-mail. Body of e-mail must include:
- Submitting member's name
- Address
- Phone number and e-mail
- Photographer's name (Must be a PBGVCA member)
- Name(s) of dog(s) in photo and owner(s) of dog(s)
- Short statement about photo . The contest is only open to PBGVCA members. Photographer must be a PBGVCA member.

PRINT PHOTOS SENT VIA US MAIL
- If your photo is a print and not digital, it still can be entered. Photos should be on photographic paper and not copy paper. Mail photo(s) along with your $5 check for each photo to: Photo Contest, c/o Beverly Childs, 222 South Blvd., Anderson, SC 29621 before March 31, 2012.

ENTRY PAYMENT PROCESS
- This year there are 3 ways to enter the photo contest. The first 2 require you to login as a member;
- FIRST OPTION: Online registration form that collects pertinent information and payment is made through PayPal. If you wish to use this method, stop reading and CLICK HERE YOU MUST LOGIN
- SECOND OPTION: Submit a "paper" entry form and pay entry fee through PayPal and CLICK HERE to utilized online payment system. You will be required to enter you email and password. YOU MUST LOGIN
- THIRD OPTION: Submit "paper" entry form (one paper entry for per dog), send your check via US. CLICK HERE to download paper entry form.
ENTRY RULES
- Entry fee of $5 per photo must be received before March 31, 2012.
- Limit of five entries per member/photographer.
- Only unpublished photos may be entered. Please do not submit photos that have been previously distributed in any manner for public viewing, including on FaceBook.
- No official dog show photos will be accepted.
- All dogs appearing in the photos must be PBGVs.
- All photographic prints submitted become the property of PBGVCA and will not be returned
SELECTION PROCESS
- The Photo Contest Committee reserves the right to refuse any entries that they find not acceptable. E-mailed photos must be at least 300-dpi to print in Saber Tails.
- By submitting a photo, the photographer grants non-exclusive rights to PBGVCA to use that photo in any medium, printed, electronic or other.
- Photographers will be credited when PBGVCA publishes or otherwise uses a submitted photo.
- A panel of judge(s) will select 12 finalists to be placed on the PBGVCA website by June 1, 2012 for member voting.
VOTING ONLINE
- The voting system will restrict voting to one per computer covering 1st through 4th Places and 2 Awards of Merit. Voting will open June 1, 2012 and close at midnight on June 15, 2012.
- The winner and/or winners will be published on the cover of Saber Tails. Prizes will be awarded to the top four and an online ribbon to Awards of Merit.
